Anthropic pauses credit change for Claude Code

Quoting from an email they sent:

Hi Fabian, In May, we sent you an email announcing that starting today, the Claude Agent SDK, claude -p, and third-party apps built on the Agent SDK would stop drawing from subscription rate limits and move to a dedicated monthly credit. We're writing to let you know that we’re not making this change today. We’re working to update the plan to better support how users build with Claude subscriptions. What this means for you Nothing changes for now. Agent SDK, claude -p, and third-party app usage continues to work with your subscription exactly as it did before today, and there's no credit to claim. Your subscription limits are unchanged. When we have an update, we'll share it with advance notice before it takes effect.

Maybe I am cynical, but I read this as "We were not able to meet our deadline of making you pay API rates for -p and the Agent SDK, but it's coming. We will let you know"

If I've got it all wrong, please let me know.

    So it doesn't?

At least the wording is very clear. claude -p and agent SDK is fair game with subscription, so openclaw like usage is confirmed as ok.

Is it though? “Continues to work as it did before”, referencing a period when we had no freaking clue if our accounts would be banned.

Well that makes zero sense ... probably because it's a random email with *zero* context.
